What I’ve learned from Jordan Peterson from my limited exposure to his talks in youtube Part I Intro: Welcome to the UFC main event of the evening: first the challenger!  Professor Jordan Peterson 135 pounds and defending double champ champ philosopher Zizek weighing in at 205 lb. ! I guess my ears perked up when I heard Jordan critiquing multiculturalism and I thought my gosh i think he read zizek… but later on I heard things that were so off the cuff… but more on that on Part II. Zizek is the figure of a madman like Jesus christ… or as he likes to put it love… love is an event that shatters everything else in your life something that disturbs your wholeness and balance your world is destabilized are we aware how non organic brutal thing true passionate love is? Vulgar example is let’s say you are not in love you live your promiscuous life you drink with friends one night stand here and there and then you fall in love all the stability is destroyed everything focuses onto something that’s what’s so great … u find it in christianity and in other religions … u find it in plato’s idealism… zizek is for abstraction violent difference and against any holistic approach. Jordan wants to be a wise guy wisdom giving advice to people jungian approach here i react like Goebbels and I pull out my gun (lol)… zizek distrusts wisdom wisdom for him by definition is stupidity and opportunistic you risk and succeed and you immediately comment “Only those who risk profit” then lets say you fail “You cannot urinate against the wind” and he mentions how plato (ancient greek philosophy) and christianity are so anti wisdom Jesus was a madman in the sense of being socially destructive (changing the order of things) and so on. Wisdom is circular logic what arises will fall down everything returns to dust the notion of injustice is always someone who should stick to their particular role and gets caught in a hubris too much but balance has to be restored.
In SUM: If you are a freshmen in college and become Jordan Peterson little grasshopper vs. if you become Zizek’s grasshopper. When you graduate college with Jordan there is a chance that you are going to manage your time very well and efficiently and secure an office job with a tumblr site that has pictures of whiskey and half naked women and nice minimalistic furniture or cabin in the woods.. that vibe going…if you are a zizek’s grassphopper by the time you graduate you are going to be discussing Hegel with your Uber ride customers and living with your parents or an aspiring artist… or worst case scenario put in a gangstalking list.
Next Part II: Lobsters vs monkeys By (via zizekianrevolution)

Earliest Evidence of Our Human Ancestors Outside of Africa Found

Our ancient human relatives got around more than scientists previously thought. Researchers in China excavated stone tools that were likely made by our human ancestors some 2.12 million years ago — the earliest evidence ever discovered of the human lineage outside of Africa.

“It suggests a way earlier migration out of Africa than we ever would have imagined,” said Michael Petraglia, a paleoanthropologist at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History, who was not involved with the study. “It’s very exciting.”

Archaeologists from China and the United Kingdom discovered dozens of quartz and quartzite stones at Shangchen, China, on the Loess Plateau, named for the yellowish-gray sediment (called loess) that dominates the landscape. The site is geologically unique in that it contains several layers of loess: a fine, windblown sediment stacked in layers dating from 1.26 million to 2.12 million years ago in the area where the artifacts were found. “The question is no longer to know whether one will play feminine against masculine or the reverse, but to make bodies, all bodies, break away from the representations and restraints of the “social body,” and from stereotyped situations, attitudes and behaviors, of the “breastplate” of which Wilhelm Reich spoke”
